What to expect from your inspection.

Your house is your castle

Whether we are preforming an inspection or completing an installation we always treat your home as if it was our own.

Scheduling

The day of your inspection one of our representatives will reconfirm our appointment time with you prior to arrival, we know life is busy and your time is valuable. If there are any unforeseen delays to our arrival we will make sure to notify you right away.

Inspection

Once we arrive on site we will discuss any initial questions you may have about your roof or home as well as gather some preliminary information.

For our inspection we typically start by walking the perimeter of your home to look for any possible issues or collateral storm damage. (ie. dents or cracks in siding, gutters, downspouts, window wraps, window screens & ac condenser fins to name a few)

After walking the perimeter we will then inspect the roof either by ladder or drone. We will assess three aspects of the roof, (1) Age/Wear & Tear, (2) Instillation/Workmanship and (3) Storm Damage.

  1. Age Wear & Tear: We will asses the current condition and remaining useful life of your roof. We will look for cracking, buckling or curling shingles, as well as brittleness and granular loss.

  2. Installation: We will look at the prior install quality, workmanship & components themselves. Most of the roofs we inspect are installed with subpar or missing components, are out of code and almost always have installation errors voiding any potential manufacturer warranty.

  3. Storm Damage: Last but not least we will Inspect the roof for any storm damage. Storm Damage usually comes in the form of either Hail or Wind Damage and can open up your roof and home to many problems now and down the road.

    • Wind Damage usually shows it self by way of unsealed, creased or missing shingles all of which usually leads to leaks, mildew and even more wind damage if not addressed.

    • Hail Damage on the other hand can be harder to spot and is impossible to see from the ground. When hail hits your roof it dents and damages the asphalt matting (the body) of the shingle and causes the exterior granular coating to fall off, sometimes immediately and sometimes overtime. Once the the granules, the armor of your shingle fall off they will begin to dry up, crack and prematurely degrade. This will drastically shorten the lifespan of your shingle and leave you at risk for leaks in the future.
