Storm Damage

What is it? & What to do about it.

So… What does Storm Damage look like?

Storm Damage usually comes in the form of either Hail or Wind Damage and can open up your roof and home to many problems now and down the road.

Wind Damage usually shows it self by way of unsealed, creased or missing shingles all of which usually leads to leaks, mildew and even more wind damage if not addressed.

Hail Damage on the other hand can be harder to spot and is impossible to see from the ground. When hail hits your roof it dents and damages the asphalt matting (the body) of the shingle and causes the exterior granular coating to fall off, sometimes immediately and sometimes overtime. Once the the granules, the armor of your shingle fall off they will begin to dry up, crack and prematurely degrade. This will drastically shorten the lifespan of your shingle and leave you at risk for leaks in the future.

What to do if storm damage is found?

If storm damage is found on your home it is best to first have the extent of the damage assessed by a reputable restoration contractor.

It is imperative that your contractor is not only skilled in their trade but is also well versed in interacting with insurance companies.

If they cannot get your claim approved, the quality of their craftsmanship and service will not matter.

This is why at NuRoof Restorations we don’t leave anything to chance, every client is set up for success with a dedicated Public Adjuster and our Automated Claims Process.

We appoint all of our clients with a Public Adjuster at no additional cost! This does two things for our clients and claims.

  1. Drastically increases our chances for a full & comprehensive approval. Unlike a roofer, who can have very little effect during the insurance claim, a Licensed Public Adjuster has both the credentials and authority to make sure your claim is handled properly. This is why we set all our clients up with a public adjuster whose sole job is give our clients an equal and fair representation throughout the claims process.

  2. Eliminates the Hassle! Our System sets your claim on autopilot. A Public Adjuster will represent our clients and manage the entire process at no additional cost, including filing the initial claim, being present and advocating on the insured’s behalf during all site inspections with the insurance company, review all insurance estimates and handle all communication and negotiation to make sure the claim is managed properly and fairly. A public adjuster takes the hassle and stress out of the claims process.
